Intervention carried out on 19 October 2018 at the Foire Internationale d'Art Contemporain (FIAC), Paris, France

Intervention carried out on 19 October 2018 within the International Contemporary Art Fair (FIAC), which took place from 19 to 22 October 2018 at the Grand Palais in Paris (France).

My intervention consisted in integrating within the FIAC, at the entrance to the southwest gallery, on the first floor of the Grand Palais, and in the immediate vicinity of the gallery booths that were located there, a device consisting of a broom and a pot of white paint placed on the floor (both elements having been recovered on site), as well as a red dot about forty centimetres in diameter affixed to the wall. If the first two elements reveal to the visitors what is normally hidden from the art market's policed booth ceremonial, the third element, an oversized codified symbol of the sale of a work, synthesises in itself the exhibitors' expectations and the self-fulfilling act of communication about the commercial success of what is being presented.

This intervention was the subject of photos taken with the help of a mobile phone for documentation purposes.
